GBA SP AGS-001 Resets to Startup. I own a Game Boy Advance SP, specifically an AGS-001 model (Yes, I know, the AGS-101 screen is much better). It worked flawlessly and I was able to complete Super Mario Bros. 3 on it at one point. However, now I can barely get into a level without the Game Boy randomly returning back to the startup ding.
GBA SP battery life. I've got to ask you for your experience on something. I have two GBA SPs, both were AGS-001 originally but one has since been modded with a AGS-101 screen and a voltage regulator from BennVenn and the other has been modded with a FunnyPlaying IPS screen. Both of them have horrendous battery life.
I totally agree about the brightness difference BS in the video, my first thought was that was not how bright an AGS-101 is. That looked like an original 001 next to the IPS v2 lol. I got an AGS-101 with Voltage regulator for my personal GBA. I liked the weight and true colors more than the IPS v2.

I have been referring to Gekkio's schematics for a while now. For the large part, they've been very helpful but it's for an AGS-001, and not a 101 so there are a number of differences with the PCB layout and charge/power circuity (updated integrated power IC). So, the charging circuit wasn't working at all even before I shorted the F2 fuse.

I purchased a refurbished gba sp ags 101. not the original 001 with the dull no backlit screen. Its in good condition works well but I have a feeling he gave me a dud unit with a dud battery.
