If you're still having issues getting GTA VC or GTA 3 to work HERE IS THE FIX YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!! This fix works on both GTA VC and GTA 3, First change your data execution prevention settings by going to control panel, system and security, then click advanced system settings. Once that window opens click on the advanced tab. 1. Open your Steam library -> Right-click Grand Theft Auto: Vice City -> Click "Properties" -> Click "Local files" tab -> Click "Browse Local Files" 2. Delete "gta-vc" executable. 3. Rename "testapp" executable to "gta-vc". 4. Launch the game through Steam 5. Try to start a new game Tell me if that works EDIT: People tried and it didn't work =( The black screen might be caused by an outdated graphic driver or by a corrupted graphic driver file. If that’s the case, then you can fix this problem by updating your drivers. Its usually a good place to start. Maybe post some system specs and current graphics driver version. So I dont play past the first part because I cant continue it. I tried everything but nothing works. -Yes I tried reinstalling it, same thing happens. -Yes I tried running it in compatibility mode in Win XP, Vista, etc. -Yes Im running it as administrator.
